General FAQ

• Aren't there enough containers for Jini™ already, and shouldn't you all work together instead of 'divide and conquer'?
• Is Seven compatible with other Jini services?

Configuration FAQ

• When I start Seven I get exceptions in my log at SEVERE level that are related to multicast not being configured for a particular interface, or it seems it uses the wrong interface on a computer with multiple NICs. Is there a way to configure the interface to use for multicast discovery?
• Is there a way to have the download jar files of the container services served by an external web server?

Deployment FAQ

• Which OS/JVM combinations can be used to deploy Seven?
• There is logging for the various state changes of a JSC Service, but it is not clear whether the logging takes place before JiniService.stateChanged() is called or after the invocation has returned?
• I can't deploy Seven on AIX 5.1 and/or 5.2 for I get an exception when the code tries to set an interface for the multicast socket, even while multicast is enabled for that interface, what is wrong?
